Meet Mrs. Kruse
Hello! My name is Lara Kruse and I am looking forward to being your child’s second grade teacher. I am very excited to get this school year started! Second grade is such a fun and rewarding grade to teach. I am looking forward to sharing in the students’ excitement as we discover, explore, and grow together.
While I have taught for nine years in the Liberty School District, this is my first year as a Shoal Creek Star. Last year I was a second grade teacher at Kellybrook Elementary, and before deciding to stay at home to raise our children, I started my teaching career as a second and third grade teacher at Manor Hill. I enjoyed the seven years I recently spent as a stay-at-home mom to our three daughters, but now my children all attend Liberty Public Schools, and I am excited to be teaching in the district I love.
I am thrilled to be a wife, mom, and Liberty teacher. My husband teaches Art at Manor Hill, and our daughter Charlotte is in first grade, and our twins Lucy and Nora are in second grade. Besides teaching and spending time with my family, I enjoy being involved in our church, reading, and vacationing. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English, and my Master’s Degree in elementary education from Truman State University.
I love teaching, and it is my goal that your child will become a lifelong learner and grow tremendously this year. I firmly believe that good communication between home and school is essential, so please don’t hesitate to contact me. I know we will have a wonderful journey together this year!
